This safari itinerary focuses exclusively on one park – the Serengeti.
The Serengeti is the gem in the crown of Tanzania and is often the highlight of the safari. It offers a chance to see the Tanzanian wilderness, untapped, and to experience the vastness of the savannah. For those who are more time than budget sensitive, we’ve put together this Serengeti exclusive itinerary. The Serengeti is a must see any time of the year, and this itinerary changes depending on which time of the year people are visiting.

A camping safari is the best way to really experience Tanzanian wildlife and to get away from it all.
Are you interested in setting up camp away from the pre-defined camp sites? Do dream of being awakened by whooping hyenas and barking jackals? If you are nodding furiously while reading this description, then we strongly suspect this itinerary may be the one for you.

A great safari for those visiting from December through April.
This safari was created for those who will be traveling to Tanzania from December to April and who are primarily interested in visiting the Serengeti on their safari. This safari starts in the east and makes its way west, via Ngorongoro Crater. It ends in eastern and central Serengeti, and allocates ample time for following the migration. As with all of our itineraries, additional days can be added and the lodging types can be modified.

July – October are the ideal months for this itinerary.
This safari was created for the months when the migration is in northern Serengeti. The itinerary combines a good blend of migration following and game driving with some strenuous hikes. We even do a night walk up to an active volcano.

The rainy season is an excellent opportunity to see the Serengeti, and at a discount.
Want to do a private safari but are worried about the budget? March, April and May bring the heavy rains, but they also bring heavily discounted lodging prices! Going on safari in March through May also means you’ll be sharing the park with a lot less people!
